So, I was reading someone's profile on FF, and I found a thingymabobber that said:
"Put your iPod on shuffle and copy down the song. It's like for a movie version of your life."
And of course, I had to break out the trusty playlist (I don't have an iPod) and throw it on shuffle, just to see what I would get. Because these pointless things are thrillingly amusing.
Now, here are the categories: Opening Credits, Waking Up, First Day of School, Falling in Love, Fighting, Breaking Up, Driving, Flashback, Mental Breakdown, Getting Back Together, Wedding, Birth of a Child, Final Battle, Death Scene, Funeral, & End Credits.
Before we move on, I'd like to say that the results are already doomed.
I mean, Falling in Love then Fighting then Breaking Up then Getting Back Together? Are we all destined for failed relationships and romantic failures?
Mental Breakdown? Are we all destined for the crazy house?
Final Battle and Death Scene? Are we all destined to be action heroes and villains doomed to an early death?
Sheesh. How about 'Going to the Park and Buying Ice Cream' as a category?
I guess that would be too happy. *sigh*
ANYWAYS, after shuffling it up with my 170+ song playlist, this is what I got:
Opening Credits: Here We Go Again by Demi Lovato
Waking Up: 18th Floor Balcony by Blue October
First day of school: Waiting On the World to Change by John Mayer
Falling in love: Angel by Sarah McLachlan
Fighting: Real by the Goo Goo Dolls
Breaking up: Be My Escape by Relient K
Driving: Bad Day by Daniel Powter
Flashback: Feels Like Tonight by Daughtry
Mental Breakdown: Are You Happy Now? by Michelle Branch
Getting back together: The Heart of the Matter by Don Henley
Wedding: Whatever It Takes by Lifehouse
Birth of a child: Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard
Final battle: Don’t Stop Believing by Journey
Death scene: Never Too Late by Three Days Grace
Funeral: Kryptonite by Three Doors Down
End credits: Bring on the Rain by Jo Dee Messina feat. Tim McGraw
Fascinating. And for your listening pleasure:
What a pretty green.
Now I could go through all the songs and tell you why each fits, is funny, or is
incredibly ironic, but that might take a forever that I am not willing to put into the task. So, to find similar humor and irony and various other things, try this out for yourself. Lovely.
And so, after making one for myself, I made one for a certain fictional character, and I am very tempted to write a fic based off of it and its lovely amusingnessosity, despite the fact that I have three fics in progress that all need updates and the fact that I am lazy and so on and so forth.
Have fun setting music to the tragic movies of your lives, kiddies!
But seriously, try optimism sometime. It's a kicker.
Thanks for wasting your precious time reading this. I feel the love.
