my mask

i look in at my reflection
where have i gone?
i seem to be lost,
lost in the image of
how people want to
view me
when will i show
my true colors?
and uncover to the whole
world who
i really am
and stop wearing
this mask?
am i afraid?
afraid of
what people will
think of me.
for the only part
of me that they have
ever known is my mask
i am tired of hiding the true me,
who i am inside
hidden away in the darkness
is the real me
but it shall be
hidend away no longer
will shine bright
for the whole world to see
I will hide no longer
