What is a Happy Ending? (Chapter two)

The day had started out like any other.

“Wake up!” The shout followed by the loud banging of pots and pans made me crack open my eyes and groan in annoyance. “Cynthia wake up! Cynthia wake up!” two twin voices sang dramatically, still banging those stupid pans.

What is a Happy Ending? (Chapter one)

Summary:

Everyone knows what a happy ending is. It comes after the ‘brave and handsome’ prince charming saves the ‘beautiful damsel in distress’ from a dragon or an evil witch, then they get married and live happily ever after.

But that’s in fairy tales. The real world never works out to be that simple and happy. How could such a thing as a ‘happy ending’ exist?
