Good point, I'm totally sensing Twilight vibes. Damn, I'll be subjected to another Edward. *shudder* All the more reason not to read the book.

Totally. But is Dylan Edward or Jake?

he would be jake, because he is the one butting into the blooming relationship, not the one trying to save it, although fang wasn't really dating max when he left that one time, but it did look suspiciously like a break up, Edward did leave while he and bella where "official". but yes the similarities are there

He's Edward in the sense that he's so 'perfect' and 'destined' for Max. But plot-wise, I think he'll be more of a Jake (Max will end up rejecting him in favor of the other guy.)

i know, i was just reading a fanfic from fang+max=fax from the forums and it was really similar to the meadow scene from twilight, the fanfic was named like, "fang and max make out which makes iggy suspicious" or sommut like that

Stop bringing up Twilight.

WOW. You're right. 'Cause Twilight is the only thing in the history of entirely everything to ever use a love triangle in it's plot. Genius.

Kinda of a Twilight vibe. I don't know....I mean Fang isn't a creepy stalker and Dylan probably isn't a crazy, out of control teen with a man body....

The love triangle is old, old, old... over 300 years old. Don't you dare give the credit for that genius plot device to S. Meyer.

That said, Twilight is one of the best selling book series at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise me if JP is duplicating elements hoping to get a similar following.

Good point. I'd like to give JP credit and say that he's just doing another love triangle and it's got nothing to do with Twilight... but the description of Dylan as Edwardesquely perfect (and, I'm presuming, extremely sexy) just reeks of desperate must-capture-the-teenage-girl-market maneuvering.

We shall do what we want with our opinion of Twilight, if an author doesn't want criticism, they shouldn't write.

As for Max and Fang's relationship, it is, will be, and has been boring.
