2012

Do you believe that December 21st 2012 is actually going to be doomsday? there are lots of information out there about it. Chinese guessed it, The real merlin guessed it, many people around the world profecised it, new technology guesses it, the bible relates to the profecies, and the well known - not really - Aztecs or Mayans. Their calander ends at the time but that doesn't mean that that is doomsday. Also all the planets are supposed to perfectly align on that exact date. I know this is not really related to going green but that is related to global warming and global warming is supposed to destroy our earth.

Permalink Reply by Jessalina on April 4, 2009 at 11:58pm: The planets can't perfectly align (not in the way people think they can, the plants angle all differently and are never at the same side of the sun at one given time). The Mayans calendar was good but it wasn't that good. They're the ones who predicted the planets aligning, well it actually happened as perfect as it possible can in like 1997 (or some date like that). And guess what, we're still here. And the sun spots/capacity thing (I don't know the word for it) happens every 100 years for 11 years (or something like that). I believe 2012 is near the end of the process so it's even worse? I'm not sure I might have to look into that.

Anyway, if I hadn't looked at things like that. I would say I don't believe in predictions. I mean people predicted the world would end in 1999 didn't they? 12/21/12 isn't the only date people have predicted an end. Even after 2012 people would probably say doomsday is in 2035! We can't always worry about the future because than we won't get the chance to live. Also I believe the end of humanity, well, will be man made.; ▶ Reply to This
